How Unkept Works

Transparency, accountability, and prediction markets — all in one place. Here's everything you need to know.

The Big Picture

1

Track

We track public promises made by CEOs, politicians, and influencers. Every promise has a verifiable source and deadline.

2

Verify

Our team verifies sources, cross-references claims, and monitors deadlines. When time's up, we render a verdict.

3

Trade

Prediction markets let you bet on whether a promise will be kept or broken. Put your money where your mouth is.

Trust Score Explained

The Formula
Kept ÷ (Kept + Broken) × 100
70-100%
Trustworthy
40-69%
Mixed Record
0-39%
Unreliable
Example Calculation
If someone has 7 kept and 3 broken promises:
7 ÷ (7 + 3) × 100 = 70% Trust Score

Only resolved promises count. Pending, unclear, and expired promises don't affect the score.

Promise Statuses

Pending

Deadline hasn't passed yet. We're watching and waiting.

In Review

Deadline passed. We're gathering evidence and evaluating.

Kept

Promise fulfilled as stated. They delivered.

Partially Kept

Some aspects fulfilled, but not completely.

Broken

Promise not fulfilled. They failed to deliver.

Unclear

Not enough evidence to determine outcome.

Expired

No longer relevant or possible to evaluate.

Prediction Markets

What is a prediction market?

A prediction market lets you buy and sell shares based on whether you think something will happen. Think of it like a stock market, but instead of company performance, you're trading on outcomes — in our case, whether a promise will be kept or broken.

How do odds work?

$0.70
"Yes, they'll keep it"
70% probability implied
$0.30
"No, they'll break it"
30% probability implied

Share prices reflect what the crowd thinks will happen. If you disagree with the crowd and you're right, you profit. Correct predictions pay out $1 per share.

How do I participate?

  1. 1 Connect your wallet — We support MetaMask and other Web3 wallets
  2. 2 Fund with USDC — Low fees, fast transactions
  3. 3 Buy shares — Choose "Yes" (kept) or "No" (broken) for any promise
  4. 4 Wait for resolution — When we render a verdict, markets settle and winners get paid

Step 1

Promise Submitted

Someone submits a promise with a verifiable source link.

Step 2

Team Verification

We verify the source, confirm the quote, and establish criteria.

Step 3

Published & Monitored

Promise goes live. We track the deadline and gather evidence.

Step 4

Deadline Passes

When time's up, we review all evidence and evaluate the outcome.

Step 5

Verdict Rendered

We publish our verdict: kept, broken, or one of the other statuses.

Step 6

Markets Settle

Prediction markets close and winners receive their payouts.
